February is the month of love and there are plenty of ways to celebrate in the Philadelphia region.

Take a special cooking class with your partner at Conquering Cuisine or visit The Heartbreak Hotel at Cyrenity Sips Winery where love both past and present are reflected on and celebrated. For the kids, there will be a special Princess Night Out at the Lansdale Parks & Recreation Office.

Comedy lovers can enjoy the humorous anecdotes of Sam Morril at the Miller Theater, and Fred Astaire Dance Studio is the place to be if you are in the mood for a night of line dancing.

Beatles fans can celebrate their love for John Lennon at a special Lennon Live performance by Scott Arch and the Instant Karma Horns. Ambler’s Fire & Ice Festival and live Baroque music at Penn State Abington are also not to be missed this week.


Heartbreak Hotel: A Wine & White Tea Martini Experience

February is the perfect time to reflect on the ups and downs of love in your life, whether it is self-love, romantic love, or both.

To help you reflect and celebrate in style, Cyrenity Sips Winery is throwing its own version of Heartbreak Hotel, and everyone whether you are single, in a relationship or somewhere in between, is welcome.

The celebration kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. All guests will be able to craft their own White Tea Martini Twist, a signature cocktail infused with Cyrenity Sips’ wines. You will get the chance to bottle, cork and make a personalized label for your own infused wine creation.

If you need closure from a certain Ex, you can write his or her name on a slip of paper and toss it into a ceremonial “Let It Go” bin. There will also be wine tastings paired with sweet & savory treats.

Princess Night Out

Stardust Entertainment is throwing a very special Princess Night Out in Lansdale on Friday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m.

Snow princess Anna will make a special appearance, and the night will be filled with crafts, games, and other fun activities. 

This special kids’ night out will be held at the Lansdale Parks & Recreation Office. Pizza will be provided. Parents are asked to be bring a water bottle for their princesses and princes aged 4 to 10.

Fred Astaire Studio Line Dancing

Pull on your cowboy boots and head to the Fred Astaire Studio in Collegeville for an evening of line dancing on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m.

You are sure to work up a sweat as you step, stomp and slide to your favorite songs. The $10 cover charge includes tomato pie and water. This is a monthly recurring event every second Saturday.

Date Night Cooking Class: Tapas and Paella

Looking for something unique to do on date night? Why not cook up something special together at Conquering Cuisine?

On Friday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m., the two of you can work side by side to make tapas and paella. Then you will be able to relax and enjoy a prepared dessert and signature cocktail. The cost is $170 per couple.

Fire & Ice in Ambler

Ambler is hosting its second winter festival, Fire & Ice, on Saturday, Feb. 8, 11 a.m.

Spend the day strolling around downtown Ambler checking out all the amazing shops, businesses, and restaurants, and the intricate ice sculptures created by Peter Slavin at Philly Ice.

Be sure to take time to warm up by the fire and enjoy some delicious food while you experience all that downtown Ambler has to offer.

An Evening of Baroque Music

Penn State Abington is hosting a special night of Baroque music by Tempesta di Mare, the Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra, on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 7 p.m.

This free event will recreate the sounds of composers like Bach, Couperin, and Marais on instruments specific to the Baroque period of the 17th and 18th centuries like the flute, viola gamba and the lute. RSVP to this unique celebration of music here.

Lennon Live with Instant Karma Horns

The unforgettable sounds of John Lennon and the Beatles will be filling the Kelly Center on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m.

Scott Arch and his band, The Instant Karma Horns, will be performing not only Beatles classics, and Lennon’s solo work, but also newly written songs that Lennon would have written if he was still with us.

General Admission tickets will be available at the door for $30. The doors will open at 7 p.m. BYOB is welcome for an additional $5 donation per drinker. Disposable cups and ice will be provided.

Free parking will be available in Oakmont Municipal lot behind Kelly Center off Darby Road after 6 p.m.

A Night of Laughs with Sam Morril

Take a respite from all your worries with a much-deserved night of laughter with comedian Sam Morril on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.

 Morril released a 2020 special, “Up On The Roof,” and made a cameo performance as a stand-up comic in Todd Phillips’ Joker. His newest special, “You’ve Changed,” can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
