A two-car accident has traffic slowed in Lower Gwynedd Township along Sumneytown Pike on Sunday night, as rescue workers assist those involved.
According to county dispatch, calls were made to emergency services for a two vehicle accident, with a need for rescue in the area of Sumneytown Pike and Evans Road in Lower Gwynedd around 8:12 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16. Those at the scene said that a pregnant woman was involved, as well as a teen driver. Another male involved may have a broken leg, according to dispatch. The extent of injuries was not yet disclosed.
Traffic is slowed in the area, and drivers are asked to avoid the intersection as possible. Responding to the scene were units from VMSC Lansdale, Plymouth Community Ambulance Association, North Penn Fire Company, and Wissahickon Fire Company, among other first responders.
