The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that construction will continue for the remainder of 2025 on three state highways under a $14.2 million project to improve travel and safety at the Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike), Route 463 (Horsham Road/Cowpath Road), and Business U.S. 202 (Doylestown Road) Intersection, commonly referred to as the Five-Points Intersection, in Montgomery Township.
Construction will see upgrades in lane additions (installation of additional through lanes on both Route 463 approaches and the southbound Route 309 approach); signal upgrades (replacement of existing traffic signal structures with new monotube structures); sidewalks and ADA compliance (construction of new sidewalks and ADA-compliant curb ramps along Routes 309 and 463); and drainage and safety enhancements (upgrades to the drainage system, installation of new guiderails, and improvements to signage and pavement markings).
Motorists are advised of alternating lane closures and temporary traffic patterns on Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the following locations:
Drivers are advised to allow for extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All schedules are weather dependent.

Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester, Chester County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
