Fort Washington-based Toll Brothers’ proposal for a new 45-home development is officially underway, according to a report.

Construction of 61-acre Lyondale Meadows, along Twining Bridge Road at Route 413 in Newtown has started, more than two years after being approved for the project.

The homes will sell for more than $1 million, Toll senior vice president Brian Thierrin, said at the time of the agreement.

The development was originally supposed to stretch over 158 acres, but Newtown Township denied the use permit for the full site in 2022. To move forward with the plans, the company agreed at the time to give up the remaining 100 acres of open space to the township.

It is expected home sales will start in early 2026.
