A popular community event is back by popular demand and is quickly approaching.
Hosted by the Lower Gwynedd Police Community Response Unit, the third annual Touch-a-Truck event will return on Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 1201 Sumneytown Pike.
The Lower Gwynedd Police Department's "Touch-a-Truck" event is an annual community gathering that allows families to explore and interact with a variety of vehicles, including police cars, fire trucks, construction equipment, and more. This event offers a unique opportunity for children and adults to see these professional machines up close, fostering community engagement and education.
Dozens of trucks and machines from local businesses and first responder units will be displayed.
This event includes a sensory-friendly (no noise) hour from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., specifically for adults and children with special needs.
“We want everyone to feel welcomed and included in this event,” the Lower Gwynedd Police Department said.
The Touch-a-Truck event is one of many future events that are in conjunction with the police department. Other events include:
