Winter Wonder at Longwood Gardens
Escape the chill and bask in the warmth of the beautiful new West Conservatory as it begins its peak flowering season.
Longwood Gardens’ winter exhibit begins Friday, Jan. 17 and runs through March 23. The Garden is open 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. Wednesday through Monday. Closed on Tuesdays.
Relax amid lush, tropical gardens. Unwind as the soothing sounds of water transport you to another world. Soak up the sun and leave your winter worries at the door.

Bluegrass Jam at the Kelly Music Center
The Kelly Music Center will host its next Bluegrass Jam on Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 7 to 9 p.m.
The event will be an open session where musicians can gather to play music, where everyone has a turn to call the tune and everyone gets to play along. The Kelly Center Bluegrass Jam welcomes players and singers at all skill levels to participate at whatever level is comfortable for them.
Free admission for all. Drinks are BYOB for guests aged 21 and over.
The Kelly Center is at 4 E. Eagle Road, Havertown. Free parking is available in the Oakmont Municipal lot behind Kelly Center off Darby Road.
Delco: The Movie
“Delco: The Movie” will have its world premiere next weekend at Media Theatre. Shows are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at 104 East State Street, Media.
“Delco: The Movie” is a coming-of-age drama-comedy about three high school seniors in 2004 Delaware County who question their beliefs and have a wild night out. The movie was filmed on location in Delaware County and including the Media Theatre itself, as well as a Wawa, Sun Valley High School in Aston, First Presbyterian Church of Springfield and Tom Jones Family Restaurant. Drunken Songs Part of Comedy Night at Well Crafted
Well Crafted Beer Lansdale and The Comedy Shoppe present Chris Covert’s Drunken Songs Gone Wrong! on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the 310 Madison St. location. Tickets are available here. Doors at 7 p.m. Comedian Chris Covert began his joke journey at the young age of 15 in his home state of New Jersey. Since then, a few hundred shows in many states over many miles, his journey continues. Chris incorporates his musical talents into his comedy act with an ensemble of both original and parody songs that are sure to put a smile on your face! You just can't help but sing along!

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service with Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy
The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy invites the public to volunteer on Monday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Conservancy’s greenhouse at its 775 Quarry Road location in Lower Salford Township for its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Volunteers will assist staff in cleaning containers and trays, seed cleaning and organizing, and greenhouse maintenance and preparation. The greenhouse’s temperature will be between 45 and 50 degrees, so dress appropriately. Sign up for the event here.
Travel back to 1976
The Genesis Show will take to the stage of the Keswick Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Ticketholders can experience the 1976 “A Trick of the Tail Tour” of the famed band, and step back in time with a performance you won’t soon forget. American Idol finalist and entertaining singer Lindsey McKay is set to perform music on Friday, Jan. 17 from 8 to 11 p.m. at The Copper Crow, 116 Welsh Road in Horsham. Hailing from Lansdale, this season three finalist took her talents to the top 35 of contestants, out of over 80,000 other singers.
A sommelier smackdown
The second annual Wine Sommelier Smackdown will be held at The Blue Bell Inn on Friday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Two wine experts will go “head-to-head” as guests can enjoy “ringside seats” as pairings with delicious meal courses come to your table. Tickets are on sale here.
