If you still have your Christmas tree up, the time has come. You may be sad to see it go, but the township can help you in its disposal.
Whitpain Township has announced that Christmas trees will be collected on Jan. 22 and Jan. 29.
Residents who live on the north side of Skippack Pike will have their trees collected on Jan. 27, while residents who live on the south side of Skippack Pike will have their trees collected on Jan. 22.
Leaves and yard waste will be collected on the same days as Christmas trees.
In order to have your tree collected, it must not have any ornaments left on it, including tree bags, tinsel, or hooks. Any tree that still has these items remaining on it will not be collected. The township is asking its residents to have their trees on the sidewalk the night before pickup.
Recycle you lights
Have holiday light strands that aren’t working anymore? The township is asking you to recycle them. Whitpain Township is asking its residents to place non-working light strands in the designated bins at the Township Building’s Police Station lobby until Wednesday, Jan. 15.
