The Montgomery County Department of Public Safety hosting presentation on emergency medical services system study findings

The Montgomery County Department of Public Safety is hosting a presentation on its the Emergency Medical Services System Study Findings. 

The presentation is open to the public and there are opportunities to attend in person or virtually. The session will be held on Thursaday, Jan. 22 at Public Safety Training Campus, 1175 Conshohocken Rd., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The meeting also can be attended virtually at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89784844123, and entering passcode 911. 

"The goal of the study is to provide an updated plan and recommendations to guide the EMSS well into the future," it said on the website.

The presentations will be led by a Montgomery County consultant group and will provide an overview of the study and its findings, offering important insights into the state and future of EMS in Montgomery County. No registration is required. The links for the virtual presentations will become active on the day of the scheduled presentations.

The county performed an EMS study and now is ready to provide the community with its findings and future recommendations of the study. The study was conducted in 2024 and focused on these key areas:

  • Readiness of EMSS to handle emerging threats;
  • Analyzing costs of doing business and a sustainable funding model to include operating and capital costs;
  • Evaluating the current EMS delivery model to ensure the efficiency of service delivery of critical calls to timely quality clinical care;
  • Examining the workforce’s current and future needs including training.
