Montco Urban Search and Rescue Team on standby in Upper Dublin Township

There is a flood watch in effect until 10 p.m., according to reports

At 4:30 p.m., the Montgomery County of Department Safety announced that its Urban Search and Rescue Team is now on standby at its Special Operations Substation in Upper Dublin Township for the duration of the heavy rain. 

According to weather reports, a flood watch has been issued in Montgomery County until 10 p.m.

The team is equipped to provide both water rescue and collapse-based responses if requested by municipalities. All personnel are prepared with specialized gear and high-water vehicles to respond swiftly to any emergency.

The Montgomery County Department of Safety will closely monitoring weather conditions in coordination with local emergency management agencies to ensure a rapid and coordinated response if needed. 

The Montgomery County Department of Safety is urging residents to avoid flooded areas, stay indoors when possible, and follow official updates and advisories. And, please remember: turn around, don’t drown. Stay alert, stay informed, and most importantly—stay safe!
