Lewis Tanner Moore Exhibit at the Michener Art Museum
Through Sunday, July 27, the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown will be celebrating the legacy of Lewis Tanner Moore, the great-nephew of the first internationally renowned African American painter Henry Ossawa Tanner and a lifelong advocate for Black artists.
The exhibit, Yesterday’s Dreams Are Real: Collecting Black Art and The Legacy of Lewis Tanner Moore, features 35 paintings, photographs, sculptures and paper works and includes the work of Henry Ossawa Tanner, Moe Brooker, Barbara Bullock and James Brantley.
