Whitpain Township has announced that several community parks and recreational spaces are now equipped with bike-friendly amenities to better serve cyclists in our community, and there's more to come.

Bike racks, as well as "fix-it" stations, have been installed at the following locations:

Wentz Run Park: This park is now outfitted with two convenient bike racks, making it easier for visitors to secure their bikes while enjoying the facilities. Additionally, a "fix it" station complete with an air pump has been installed, providing essential tools for minor repairs and tire inflation on the go.

Stony Creek Sports Park: A bike rack has been installed to accommodate cyclists visiting this popular sports destination.

Westside Park: One bike rack has been placed at this location, offering a secure parking option for bike riders enjoying the park.

Coming Soon

Over the next couple of weeks, Whitpain Township Public Works Department will be putting the finishing touches on the installation of additional bike infrastructure at the following locations:

Erbs Mill Park: A new bike rack will be added to support active transportation to and from the park.

Westside Basketball Court: One bike rack will be installed here to provide a secure spot for cyclists using the court and nearby amenities.

Crossways Trailhead: This trailhead will be enhanced with both a bike rack and a fully equipped "fix it" station, including an air pump, to serve trail users and cyclists in need of quick maintenance.

Prophecy Creek Park: Visitors to this scenic park will soon benefit from the addition of a bike rack and a "fix it" station, making it a more accessible and cyclist-friendly destination.

"We are working over the next couple of weeks to finish up," said Whitpain Township Board of Supervisors chairman Scott Badami.
