A film entirely produced by Plymouth Whitemarsh High School students will premiere at the Regal UA King of Prussia theaters on Saturday, June 7, at 3 p.m.
Titled “After That Moment,” the movie is being presented by the PW Film club. Tickets are $10 to see both “After That Moment” and the documentary, “Behind the Screen,” which is about the club itself. There will be a red-carpet event after the screenings. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door.
The movie is about two friends who must learn how to balance friendship, crime, and the future after they commit debit card fraud. The film is a fitting sign-off for the founding members (who are graduating in June) since it details a coming-of-age story about high school seniors as they navigate their changing friendships and uncertain futures.
The documentary, on the other hand, will provide viewers with an in-depth view of the PW Film process, the origins of the club, and how a community comes together to make a film to call their own.
The film production club was established in the fall of 2022 after Koseli Thakali realized that there were no such active clubs at the school. Since then, the club has completed short films including, “Ace Chemistry,” “The RoomLink Initiative,” and the documentary “Hitting Zero.” For more, visit https://www.youtube.com/@PWFilm and follow @pwfilmproduction on Instagram.
