High school graduation marks a pivotal moment in a young person’s life—a celebration of years of hard work, growth, and memories, and the beginning of an exciting new chapter filled with possibility, uncertainty, and promise.

For the seniors at Wissahickon High School, Thursday night marked an important milestone for those 379 graduates.

Graduation by the Numbers:

  • 284 (74.6%) are attending a four-year university
  • 36 students (9.5%) will be attending a two-year college.
  • 12 students (3.2%) will attend a trade/technical school
  • 5 (1.3%) will join the military
  • 108: Number of four-year colleges students will attend
  • 15: signed to play collegiate sports
  • 11 National Merit Finalists (one semi-finalist)

“My experience at Wissahickon helped me become a more well-rounded learner and member of the community, which will aid me not only for the rest of my education but also as a future healthcare provider,” said Valedictorian Parth Patel, who will be attending Penn State University Premedical-Medical Program with Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
