First installment of Whitpain Township's Summer Concert and Movie Series rescheduled for August

Due to the rainy forecast, Tuesday's movie showing was postponed

Whitpain Township pfficials have announced that the first installment of the Summer Concert and Movie Series has been rescheduled. 

The anticipated summer event series was supposed to kick off on June 17, however, Mother Nature had other plans.

Due to rain in the forecast and the grounds being damp, Whitpain Township officials have decided to reschedule the showing of Transformers ONE to Tuesday, Aug. 19.

Movies will be featured on select Tuesday's while the concerts will run on Thursday's. The next installment of the summer series is on June 26 when the Amish Outlaws will be the featured musical guest.

June 26

Concert: Amish Outlaws
Location: Mermaid Lake Park, 1002 Jolly Road in Blue Bell
Time: Concert: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Food: El Toro, Wrap n Roll, Kona Ice

July 10

Concert: Starman: The David Bowie Tribute
Location: Wentz Run Park Gazebo - 1000 Anvil Lane Blue Bell, PA 19422
Time: Concert from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

July 17

Concert: Philly Funk Authority
