The Wissahickon School District School Board voted to approve a 4% increase in real estate taxes for the 2025-26 budget at its June meeting.

The approval, a total budget of $133,382,693, results in an annual increase of $204.93 for a household with a median assessed value of $211,265 (equates to a $642,246 home value).

The motion was passed by Joseph Antonio and seconded by Steve Walker.

School Board members Amy Ginsburg, Zeffy Karagiannakis, Rosetta Chiavacci, Paul Badger, Marshall Bleefeld, Deanne Morris, Eugene Golson, all voted "yes" to approve to budget.

“We appreciated the input from the community at the budget workshops that we have had since February,” said School Board Director Walker. “The budget is going to be difficult moving forward for the next year, so we would appreciate as much input and feedback from the community that normally starts in the February time period.”
