Entertaining the kids all summer long can be a challenge, but luckily there are lots of fun events in the Philadelphia region this week.
Don’t miss Footloose at the Playcrafters of Skippack. It is sure to be a toe-tapping good time.
Philly’s Parks on Tap is back and this week’s location is Historic RittenhouseTown, Wissahickon Valley Park.
Also, this week, Upper Moreland Free Library in Willow Grove is hosting a book discussion and there are plenty of fun activities for the kiddos.
Upper Dublin Township is hosting “Eyes of the Wild: live animals!” for kids between the ages of 4 and 12, while the Upper Darby Township Library will be hosting an arts and crafts activity.
There will also be plenty of live music to check out as well. Tony Alosi will be playing at the Doylestown Country Club and The Patio in Horsham will have The Dueling Pianos.
When the weather is nice, also be sure to check out the outdoor concert series in Lansdale.
‘Footloose’ at Playcrafters of Skippack
On Friday, June 27, Saturday, June 28 and Sunday June 29, Playcrafters of Skippack will be presenting Footloose the Musical.
The 1998 musical, which was based on the 1984 film, features hits from the original soundtrack as well as new songs. Performances will continue until July 19.

Parks on Tap in Philly
On Sunday, June 29, Philly’s popular Parks on Taps series continues with a stop at Historic RittenhouseTown, Wissahickon Valley Park.
The menu will include drafts from Mainstay Independent Brewing, Conshohocken Brewing and 2SP Brewing as well as cocktails, burgers, cheesesteaks and more.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the park.

Book Discussion at Upper Moreland Free Public Library
On Wednesday, June 25, 6:30 p.m., book lovers can enjoy a discussion of Yellow Wife by Sadeqa Johnson at the Upper Moreland Free Public Library.
The novel tells the story of Pheby Delores Brown as she faces the harsh realities of slavery in the Southern United States.

Live Animals at Upper Dublin Library
On Monday, June 30, 7 p.m., the Upper Dublin Township is continuing it summer celebration with “Eyes of the Wild: live animals” at the Upper Dublin Library.
This event is for kids ages 4 to 12. Bring your kids for some close encounters with the wild kind in the Shanis Auditorium of the library.

Messy Makers at Upper Darby Township Library
On Thursday, June 26, 10:15 a.m., the Sellers Branch of the Upper Darby Township Library is hosting its Messy Makers program.
The program is designed to allow children, between the ages of 18 months and 3 years of age, to explore and play at their own speed.
The theme for the day’s program is “Over the Rainbow.” No registration is required. Please bring a smock or old t-shirt to protect clothing.

Tony Alosi at Doylestown Country Club
On Friday, June 27, 5 p.m., local favorite musician Tony Alosi will be brining the hits to the Doylestown Country Club.
Alosi is a multi-instrumentalist and singer from Philadelphia who performs solo and with bands. His debut album, The Old School Way, is available now.

White’s Road Park Concert Series
On Tuesday, June 24, 7 p.m., come check out The Wonton Soups as they play as part of the White’s Road Park Concert Series.
