Officials close down Norristown Road after two-vehicle accident, one car flipped on its roof

A Cadillac Escalade flipped on its roof after a collision with another vehicle around 6:17 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials were forced to close down Norristown Road between Welsh Road and Limekiln Pike after a two-vehicle accident around 6:17 p.m. in Upper Dublin Township.

Two cars collided near the intersection of Norristown Road and Limekiln Pike, in front of the Maple Glen Pizza. A dark colored Cadillac Escalade flipped on its roof, which was involved in a collision with a dark colored Honda that suffered front-end damage. 

Two parties were extricated from the vehicles. One person was transported to a local hospital. 

Emergency crews from Fort Washington Fire Company and Horsham Fire Company responded to the scene.

Injuries are unknown at this time.

Expect traffic delays in the area.
