For the eighth consecutive year, Philadelphia Eagles radio play-by-play voice Merrill Reese chaired the Whitpain Golf Classic, raising thousands of dollars for both the Whitpain Police Association and Stoney Creek Day Camp.
The 2025 event, held on June 16 at Blue Bell Country Club, attracted a full field of golfers and even more for dinner after golf.
Reese, who is in his 48th consecutive year as the radio voice of the Eagles, noted that he would continue to chair the Whitpain event for as long as the township will have him.
"Despite the clouds, spirits were high at the Whitpain Golf Classic," Whitpain Township's Parks and Rec Department wrote. "A big thank you to everyone who came out — and a special shoutout to the legendary Merrill Reese for joining us as our chairman"
Proceeds from the event benefit the Whitpain Police Association and the Stony Creek Day Camp Scholarship Fund.
