While the first installment of the Summer Concert and Movie Series in Whitpain Township was forced to be rescheduled due to rain, tonight's forecast looks much more promising.

Transformers One was supposed to shown on June 17 at Wentz Run Park, but damp, muddy grounds resulted in the movie being rescheduled for August. The weather forecast for tonight is much brighter, as the heat wave has officially "broke" and the chances of rain are slim.

The Amish Outlaws will be performing at Mermaid Lake Park, 1002 Jolly Road in Blue Bell, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Amish Outlaws are an American cover band from Lancaster. The band was formed in 2002 and is composed of three ex-Amish and three "honorary Amish" musicians.

The Amish Outlaws began in 2002, with three of the founding members, Ezekiel, Amos Def, and Hezekiah X. They moved to New York City after leaving the Amish community.

The band wanted to play popular culture rock music that was not typical of their traditional Amish upbringing. The band plays renditions of songs by contemporary composers and talk about their rumspringa experience as ex-members of the Amish community. They primarily tour the East Coast of the United States.[1][5] (Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia) and have also performed in Ohio, Nevada and Indiana.

Aside from the music, residents can enjoy food food trucks, tasty desserts, and some adult beverages. El Toro, Wrap n Roll, and Kona Ice all will be on hand tonight.

Well Crafted Beer Company will be serving up drafts.
