At approximately 8:15 p.m. Sunday, emergency crews responded to the 100 block of Forest Ave, at the Forest Garden Apartments in Ambler, for a reported building fire.
On arrival, crews encountered smoke coming from the second floor of the two-story apartment complex. Initial reports stated something was on fire, but it was unclear what it was according to Montgomery County Public Safety Dispatch. The exact cause of the fire remains unclear, but crews were able to bring it under control shortly after arriving on scene.
Roads in the surrounding area were closed as emergency crews worked to process the scene. Wissahickon Fire Company was assisted by Oreland Fire Company, Fort Washington Fire Company, Spring Mill Fire Company, Flourtown Fire Company, Ambler Police Department, and Community Ambulance Association of Ambler.
