Police charge person who broke into several cars, stole items throughout Upper Dublin Township

Upper Dublin Police reported that Sinsair Manny Cook, 20, entered 12 cars, and unlawfully took items from five vehicles

Sinsair Manny Cook, 20, of the 6300 block of N. Opal Street in Philadelphia, faces multiple felony counts related to vehicle break-ins throughout Upper Dublin Township and surrounding areas, according to police.

The Upper Dublin Police Department has charged Cook, along with an unidentified co-conspirator, of entering 12 cars, and unlawfully taking items from five vehicles, as well as stealing one of the vehicles, according to police.

Cook faces charges of Access Device Fraud, Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, and Receiving Stolen Property.

Cook and his co-conspirator stole an estimated total value of $1,637, which included an Under Armor gym bag containing a wallet with bank cards and identification cards, a pink Louis Vuitton wallet containing bank cards and identification cards, a Cash App card, $350 in cash, Apple Airpods, and a Blue Kindle.

Locations of the alleged vehicle break-ins occurred at:

  • 100 block of Green Valley Circle
  • 200 block of Brookdale Court
  • 100 block of Green Valley Circle
  • Area of Schiavone Drive
  • 100 block of Tupelo Grove
  • 300 block of Tupelo Grove
  • 1100 block of Black Haw Lane
  • 200 block of Brookdale Court
  • 300 block of Tupelo Grove
  • 300 block of Tupelo Grove
  • 8500 block of Limekiln Pike (Wawa)
  • 3200 block of Cheltenham Ave. (Chick-fil-A)


Police were able to identify Cook after the Upper Dublin Police Department was able to lift fingerprints and part of the palm from a recovered stolen vehicle’s exterior driver front door. A victim came forward to police and said that her Buick Encore was stolen. Police contacted the Philadelphia Police Department, who subsequently located her vehicle in the area of the 6000 block of N. Opal Street thanks to a recent ping. The fingerprints from the stolen vehicle were provided to the Springfield Police Department, which submitted several of the fingerprints to the Automated Fingerprint Identification System, which resulted in a match to Cook, according to police.

According to police, Cook was loitering and prowling during the early morning hours of Jan. 3 and approximately 10 residences. Additionally, during two of the motor vehicle thefts, windows were smashed causing a total estimated damage of $500 to the two vehicles.
