Three-vehicle accident on 309 Southbound creates large traffic backup

The accident occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon

Montgomery County dispatch is reporting a traffic accident on 309 Southbound near the Norristown Road exit.

Officials reported it's a three-vehicle accident and the occupants sustained minor injuries.

The left lane of 309 is now blocked as emergency crews from Wisshickon Fire Company and 351 ambulance are on scene. Only one lane remains open at this time.
