On Saturday, April 12, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Lower Gwynedd Township Police Department will team up with the Spring House GIANT food store to host a special food drive aimed at supporting those in need in the community.

The event will take place at the GIANT Food Store located at 1121 N Bethlehem Pike in Spring House.

Residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate, or they can shop for food on-site and contribute as they exit the store. All items collected during the drive will be delivered to the Mattie Dixon Food Cupboard, an organization that helps provide meals for local families. Suggested donations include items such as apple sauce, breadcrumbs, ground coffee, hams, juice boxes, taco kits, aluminum foil, disinfectant wipes, kitchen trash bags, and Ziploc storage bags in both small and large sizes.

This initiative offers a simple yet impactful way for the community to come together and help others, ensuring that local families have the resources they need to get through difficult times.
