Breaking: Driver flips dump truck on its side on Pennsylvania Turnpike

Expect delays in Whitemarsh Township on the Turnpike near mile marker 340.9

A person reportedly flipped their dump truck on its side on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Whitemarsh Township on Monday morning around 11:44 a.m., according to Montgomery County Dispatch.

The accident occurred on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Westbound near mile marker 340.9, blocking the far right lane. 

The accident has created a large traffic backup and the Turnpike has been reduced to two lanes. 

Emergency crews from Fort Washington Fire Company and Harmonville Fire Company No. 1 are on the scene.

Expect delays if you are traveling on the Pa. Turnpike or in the area.
