A Penn Medicine helicopter (PennSTAR) has made an emergency landing in the front yard of a Whitemarsh Township home on the 6000 block of Musket Road, according to witnesses at the scene.
The incident occurred at 7:45 p.m.
Three occupants are out of the helicopter safely and did not suffer any major injuries, according to reports. Occupants were being evaluated by paramedics on scene.
Three people were transported to an area hospital, according to reports.
The helicopter does not appear to have suffered any major damage. No patients were on board during the flight, according to reports.
There were no signs of smoke or flames at the time of the incident, according to witnesses.
Emergency crews from Barren Hill Fire Company are on scene and requested additional assistance from fire companies, according to the Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Firefighters are searching the area for possible debris.
Authorities have blocked off a large area around the scene.
