Ishmir Ra, 49, was arrested after allegedly breaking into a home on Butler Pike in the Maple Glen section of Horsham Township on May 24, according to police.
According to police, homeowners were not present at the time of the break-in shortly after 9 p.m. But a homeowner on Butler Pike noticed a suspicious male loitering around his property on home surveillance cameras.
The homeowner contacted the Horsham Police Department and, once they arrived on scene, spotted the male, later identified as Ra, who was in the act of burglarizing the home, according to police. Ra had allegedly used a glass break tool to break a basement window gaining access to the home.
Upon arrival, Ra bedded down in the grass and then fled on foot to attempt to elude police, according to the criminal complaint.
Officers caught up with Ra and took him into custody for burglary and related charges.
Ra faces a charge or burglary.
