The Phillies announced that Wednesday evening's game against the Atlanta Braves has been rained out, with the two NL East foes set to make it up during a day/night doubleheader Thursday.
If you had tickets for Wednesday evening's game, they will now be valid for Game 1 of the doubleheader on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. ET. Gates will open at Citizens Bank Park at 12:05 ET.
For those who had tickets to the 6:45 ET game that was already scheduled for Thursday night, not much changes. Gates will open at 5:30 ET, with first pitch still scheduled for 6:45 ET. The retro Phillies cap will be given out to all fans in attendance for Game 2.
Cristopher Sánchez will start Game 1 for the Phillies, with Zack Wheeler toeing the rubber in Game 2.
After not playing any doubleheaders during the 2024 season, this will be the second time in the month of May that the Phillies will play two in one day. They previously split a doubleheader with the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday, May 14.
