The Ambler Kiwanis Carnival is back to dazzle families and light up summer nights starting tonight, from July 1 through July 5, at Wissahickon High School.
A tradition of summer, the carnival transforms the high school grounds into a vibrant fairground each evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with thrilling rides, classic games, and nostalgic favorites like funnel cakes, cotton candy, and snow cones.
Whether you're looking to test your aim, conquer the Tilt-A-Whirl, or simply enjoy a soft pretzel under the stars, there's something for all ages to enjoy.
The highlight of the week is the fireworks spectacular on Wednesday, July 2, a great display that draws hundreds of families and neighbors from across the region to kick off the Independence Day celebrations. (A rain date is scheduled for July 3, just in case.)
This year’s carnival takes on special significance as the Kiwanis Club of Ambler celebrates its 100th anniversary, a century of service, generosity, and commitment to the local community. “We’re proud to mark a century of service with the community that’s supported us all these years,” said Kiwanis member Rich Squillaro. “The carnival is our biggest fundraiser, and every ride ticket helps us support youth programs right here in the Ambler area.”
Admission is free, and for those seeking added convenience, VIP parking passes are available, offering reserved spots and easier exit. From scholarships and school initiatives to food drives and mentoring programs, all proceeds from the carnival go directly toward uplifting local children and families.
