Local business announces closure after 15 years of serving community

A longtime local business has announced it will be closing its doors after 15 years of serving the community, according to the owners.

In a message shared with customers, the owners of Julia’s On the Go Deli, located at 14 W Butler Avenue in Ambler, said the decision comes as their family grows and the demands of running the business, especially the long hours, no longer fit their lifestyle. They described the choice as a difficult one after building strong relationships with customers over the years.

“This decision was a very difficult one to make,” the owners wrote. “We have made so many friendships along the way and truly enjoy being apart of your daily/weekly routine. We cannot thank you enough for all the wonderful memories and kindness that you have brought to us along the way.”

The business has become a regular stop for many in the community, with customers stopping in for daily and weekly routines, particularly for breakfast and lunch.

Despite the upcoming closure, the owners say they will remain open through June 18 and plan to continue serving their full menu, including customer favorites and daily specials, until their final day.

They also expressed gratitude to the community for its support over the years, noting the friendships and memories made along the way.

Residents are encouraged to stop by in the coming weeks to show support and enjoy the business one last time before it closes.

“We look forward to seeing you all before then and we will continue to serve you your favorite specials, breakfast and lunches off our menu,” the owners said.

Julia’s On the Go Deli is a popular neighborhood spot for breakfast and lunch, known for its freshly made sandwiches, wraps, salads, and soups. It primarily serves take‑out customers and is especially convenient for commuters and local office workers thanks to its early morning hours and quick service. Breakfast sandwiches, turkey and Italian hoagies, and chicken salad wraps are among the favorites.
